Every woman over about 40 is, or will become, interested in good skin care. Once she starts to see those wrinkles forming, those lines and crows feet around her mouth and eyes, that loose sagging skin on her neck and that less than blooming skin complexion, women start to ask questions about skin care. And one of the first questions they ask is this: Do Collagen And Elastin Products Work?

Because just about everyone who has spent some time looking at the basic requirements of skin health and good skin care will come across the role of collagen and elastin pretty quickly. Collagen and elastin are two essential skin proteins that reduce as we age, and the loss of collagen and elastin is one of the biggest factors in the development of those lines, wrinkles and sagging skin.

Rubbing a skin care cream like a moisturizer or night cream or day cream that contains collagen and elastin adds these to the surface of the skin, but not to the layers of skin that contain the elastin and collagen. Because the molecules of these two proteins are very large and don't penetrate the skin. They just remain on the surface. And even if they did penetrate the surface of our skin there is no evidence that they can actually be incorporated into our skin's own stores of elastin and collagen.

So why are they in those bottles? Because it's well known that if consumers see them listed on the label they buy those bottles of skin care products. So in that respect they work extremely well, because those big brand name bottles of skin care products you see advertised on the TV are very profitable, and sell well. They just don't work very well.

So if those collagen and elastin  products don't work what do you do? One of the biggest breakthroughs in skin care science over the last few years is a way to stimulate the skin to produce more of it's own stores of elastin and collagen. Then there's no problem of molecule size, or of the molecules becoming incorporated into the existing proteins.

An ingredient called Cynergy TK has been shown to greatly improve the skin's ability to grow more of it's own elastin and collagen, and trials have been impressive. Results in improved skin health are visible within a month.

So, in answer to the question, so collagen and elastin products work? The answer is no, except for those containing Cynergy TK. Those collagen and elastin products containing Cynergty TK work extremely well.
