Entrepreneur stories are a wonderful source of inspiration to other people who
really want to start off on entrepreneurial road.
I have been an entrepreneur nearly all
my working life and I have a book full of my own entrepreneurial stories that
inspire me not to mention those of other people around me.
We often forget our own
success, but it is good to look back over the things we do and remind ourselves of who actually did
them.
If you want to be inspired by real entrepreneurial stories I suggest you do the
following:
1) Get a piece of paper and at the top write down the year you were born
and then every two lines increase the year until you arrive at the present year. For me my birth
year was 1963 and this year is 2008 so I need about 90 lines in total.)
2) Write two major
successes for each year you are alive. One on each line.
3) Realize that even when you were
1 year old you had at least two major successes.
4) Pick three or four of the successes and
write about them in length describing the success as best you can and what it meant to you and how
you felt.
5) Ask yourself who did it and more importantly how easy was it to do?
6)
Set yourself a new goal to have two major successes this year and write about them as if you were
writing a newspaper article after the event had happened.
7) Predict the future.
Entrepreneur stories are very powerful motivators, but none are quite as powerful
as when it is your own. Never forget how powerful you really are and that even some of your
successes which may feel small at times are in fact major life changing events.
I
remember getting a job in England that would in the future change the whole course of my life. I
didn’t know it at the time, but it was one of the divining success choices of my life.
Write your own entrepreneurial stories and allow others to read them and you never know you
may just inspire other to follow you. If you want, send me your true story and I will feature you on
my site for the whole world to see and be moved to inspire other through your own
entrepreneurial stories.
