In the past, buying MLM leads might have been a strategic move on your part but not anymore. Here
are a few reasons why buying them can only be a waste of your hard-earned money.
Quality
You can never be sure of the quality of lists of MLM leads these days. Even if they come with
seemingly iron-clad guarantees of high quality, there’s really no way to be sure until
you’ve paid the full amount for it and you get your hands on the actual list. But if it turns
out to be opposite of what you’ve been promised, there may not be a way to get a refund for
your money.
There are people out there deliberately composing unauthentic lists of MLM leads and then using
clever ploys to misrepresent them. If you have the misfortune of becoming one of their victims, you
could, of course, report them to the likes of the Federal Trade Commission or the Better Business
Bureau. But whether you’ll get your money back or not is very much in doubt.
Lastly, what could be a list of high quality MLM leads for one may not be for you. Remember: the
best leads are not simply made of people with keen interest in building a network marketing business
but one with the huge potential to benefit from the products or services you’re selling as
well.
Distribution
Another bad thing about lists of MLM leads is the sheer number of ways they’re being
distributed. Even if the list did start out to be a high quality one, these are distributed and made
use of so quickly that by the time it’s reached you, the list might have been read and used by
hundreds of network marketers before you. As such, there’s no point contacting these leads
because they’re probably drowning already with the massive amount of MLM offers they’ve
received in their inbox.
Personal Connection
Finally, even genuine lists of high quality MLM leads can’t instantly guarantee success.
One reason for this is the lack of connection between you and your MLM prospect. Relationships are
more easily built when there is honesty and connection right from the start. It’s easier to
speak with an MLM prospect if you used your own skills to find out whether he makes a good lead or
not.
Imagine how your MLM prospect would feel when he finds out you’ve gotten his name from a
paid list. Sure, you can always lie about it, but surely you know how shaky the foundations of
dishonest relationships are, don’t you?
Personal Fulfillment
Lastly, the sense of fulfillment you can experience will be much greater if you know it was on
your own efforts you were able to generate leads and successfully turned them into full-fledged
recruits for your MLM business.
Relying on your own efforts for generating leads is also a good way of training yourself not to
take ill-advised shortcuts like get-rich-quick schemes that are doomed to fail and, yes, MLM lists
of questionable quality.
Multi level marketing is a great industry to work in, but it has a larger number of pitfalls than
other types of businesses. There are more ways for you to fail in MLM and relying on paid MLM lists
is just one of them. If you want to survive longer, stay away from these lists.
