Today there are numerous different styles of decorative solar lighting one can choose from to help enhance the look of your garden. Even if you do not have a garden just a terrace or a balcony this form of outside solar lighting can help to bring it to life for you.

Below we will take a look at some of the various different kinds of decorative solar lighting which one can now utilize for decorating and enhancing a gardens look.

1. Terracotta Sphere Solar Lantern - To add a touch of ambience to an outdoor living space then these forms of decorative solar lighting are ideal. Can be placed either around the edges of your patio or decking or on tables. Each sphere comes with shapes cut out of the sides which produce a silhouetted lighting effect.

2. The Firefly Decorative Solar Light - Is a hand blown cracked glass globe placed on top of a stainless steel stake which allows you to choose wherever you want to place it in the garden. Ideal for use at night to add ambient lighting to dark corners of a garden because of the soft glow that it emits when it becomes dark. The other way it can be used is to provide illumination for obstacles or to show pathways.

The above two types of lighting offer a delicate and subtle way for you to add lighting to your garden. These are best used in areas where they can add a wealth of color and which can bring life back into a dull part of the garden.

3. A Floating Solar Light - This form of decorative solar lighting comes in a number of different colors and it is this which will be the color you see reflected on the water. The gently float on the water and during the day the solar panel collects energy from the sun which it then converts to power to run the light within. These are not only very easy to install and get set up but cost you nothing to run once they are.

4. Rock Shaped Solar Lighting - This type of lighting using solar energy can be placed anywhere within your garden. A lot of people will use these as a way of providing light for a path that is in theirs. Whilst others will use it to highlight steps leading up to a paved or decked area in theirs. Some people just use this form of decorative solar lighting as a way to add accent to certain plants in their gardens.

5. The Stepping Stone - Another great decorative solar light for the garden that you can purchase either from a reputable garden supplies store or online. These lights are great for marking out pathways to show people where to go as they meander around your garden at night, making it a much safer place for everybody to enjoy. Around the light is a solar panel which collects energy during the day from the sun and then releases the energy to power the light within once night begins to fall.

These lights as well as all the other outside solar lighting we have mentioned in this article can be installed easily by you. Plus a big advantage is that once they are up and running they cost you nothing (they do not need to rely on an electrical power source to provide them with energy). Nearly all the decorative solar lighting that is available today also come with automatic sensors that will tell them when to turn on and off so you can easily forget about them and let them do their job. Also most of them as long as they have been able to collect enough energy from the sun during the day will be able to power the light within for around 8 to 10 hours.
