List building is the mother's milk of internet marketing. The easiest way to build a list is to offer something of value for free. And the best way to do that is to make that offer where a lot of people are going to have a chance to see it.  Even better is when you find a place were people are already actively downloading other people's free products at the same time.

Those familiar with fishing will recognize this last idea as chumming. While chumming is not legal in most places, it is effective and more important it's perfectly legal in internet marketing. I've used it to multiply my list and you can too.

Internet marketing giveaways can be a great way to build your list. For example I had a great deal of success offering three different products in a recent Giveaway.  For very little effort, I was able to put up an exisiting product I had created using Private Label Rights material. It had been getting me a few sales from time to time but wasn't knocking the doors down. When I offered it for free, I had 107 people down load it and become members of my list.

I recommend you sign up today as a contributor.  Don't hesitate, sign up today even if you don't have a product figured out yet. Once you have a deadline, you will find it much easier to focus and solve that problem.  Plus I will give you a few hints.

One of the best ways is to create a short report.

The gift of your advice on a topic of general interest is a great vehicle to use in internet marketing Giveaways.

A simple report doesn't need to be fancy, or long. A 7 page discussion of how to write a report, or how to set up a blog, or how to bake cookies, or catch Bass will appeal to a lot of people. If you are already marketing a product, a simple how to will appeal to just the people you are most interested in getting on your list.

If you are writing a report on making jelly, you will attract people who are interested in jelly making are probably similar cooking themes. You will be able to share Jelly making in all its intricacies for years to come, one get them on your list with a nice free gift.

Set aside 2-3 hours and just write it. Find a nice graphic to add as a cover and upload it. There is no easier way to build a focused list interested in the same things you are.

While the quickest ways to build a nice targeted list is to give away a product or free report, there's no reason not to make some quick money right away as you are doing it.

You have several options. You could include a super offer within the report itself for a second product of yours, or you could offer a affiliate product if you don't have your own products fully developed yet.

This could be as part of your report itself, or on a resource page attached to the report.

You could also create a One time offer that appears during the sign-up process, or as they confirm their email prior to downloading your report.

Make it an attractive offer. And at this point try to find a low price point.  They are getting a ton of stuff for free, so make it worth their while and keep it in the $7-27 range.

If you haven't signed up yet, do it now. There is a distinct advantage to signing up earlier on many giveaway sites. It helps get your product listed higher in the sequence and thus more give you more visibility.

Many giveaway sites offer an upgrade option for contributors. Specifics vary by Giveaway event and sponsor, but such upgrades often allow you to put in additional products, get a higher listing, and thus more viewers, or even the ability to download items from the giveway without needing to sign up for everyone's list.

I've found the upgrades to be worthwhile on most events.
