So you've found your niche and you've got a blog, but you want to build some great, high PR
incoming links. Where do you start? - Niche Directories.
A solid subject related directory can give extremely relevant links to your blog (the type google
loves) and help your SEO efforts immensely. By hunting down relevant submission sites you can begin
to corner the very niche that you aim to make your own.
Odd Directories
I like the unusual directories that have either a unique laser specific focus or the slightly
obscure, offbeat ones that are more general but a heck of a lot more interesting and unique than an
ezine articles or a buzzle. These old school directories are still fantastic for backlinks, but they
can get to be a bit of a bore.
New Directions
There are some great article directories out there that a changing the style of way we receive
our online information - Qassia for one (however you pronounce it) is odd in that it calls itself a
credit-driven intelligence engine coupled to a cascading tag-based web directory (whatever
that means). It is quite a good site to get some easy links and it certainly will do your niche blog
no harm. I quite like Article Flame a Unique Content Article Directory that calls itself a intelligent information
repository (another mouthful).
It's certainly great to get a variety of links from differing sources and these unusual ones can
help.
How Specific ?
Depending on your niche you may need to find yourself a "loosely" relevant niche, because you
can't always find an exact match. It's always nice to find a niche directory tailored to your blog
but if you can't then you just need to find a looser fit.
Remember that Niche directories in themselves aren't the be all end all to link building and
traffic gaining, but they definitely can help.
