When you are ready to buy a Rottweiler you should make yourself aware of the many Rottweiler health problems that can occur during the course of their lives. An informed and educated owner can identify symptoms and get the dog to the vet when it is absolutely necessary and get the dog the help that it needs. If you take the time to get used to the care requirements of your Rottweiler then you can be better prepared to deal with issues whenever they come up and less likely to panic.

A Rottweiler will shed a lot all through their lives and they have very short hair that is hard and pointy and gets everywhere. They shed when they are petted and when they scratch themselves so if you do not want to have to pick small coarse dog furs out of all of your clothing then you may want to consider not getting a Rottweiler.

Like any other living creature a Rottweiler will develop some health problems if it is not fed the proper diet. As your dog's owner it is your responsibility to make sure that your dog is getting all the nutrients it needs and none of the stuff it does not need.

One good indicator that your dog is getting a bad diet is that your Rottweiler can develop a bad case of gas from a poor diet. Flatulence is a result of poor diet and for your own sake you probably want to avoid that.

A Rottweiler can also develop bone a joint conditions that can be the result of poor diet or the result of genetics. A good diet can help develop strong bones so be sure to keep your dog on the right diet. However if you notice that your dog is experience pain and difficulty while moving around then you need to get your dog to the vet immediately.

Sometimes it is not easy dealing with all of the potential Rottweiler health problems and one big health problem is obesity. Aside from proper diet your Rottweiler also requires the proper amount of exercise as well in order for it to stay fit and healthy.

Your Rottweiler can be afflicted with many different types of conditions and diseases that sometimes other breeds are not as affected by.

There are always health issues and warning signs to watch out for when you own any pet and that is especially true with a Rottweiler. A Rottweiler is more susceptible to cancer than many other breeds and it is health issues like this that you have to keep on the look out for so that you can make sure your dog is always happy and healthy for life.
