Blogs can be used quite effectively on your website as a tool for drawing in more traffic. They also let you spread information to individuals who are targeted by your business. Use your blog to produce a higher volume of traffic on your website by following these tips.

Post on your blog regularly; at least 3 times a week. By updating your blog on a regular basis, you are giving your readers a reason to keep referring back to your blog. If you are providing timely and informative posts, your readers will see you as an expert in your field.

They will turn to your blog as a way to seek answers to their questions. Posting regularly also develops a relationship between you and your customer. They will get to know you and trust your opinion.

Feed burners allow you to maintain communication between you and your readers more easily. Readers won't even have to visit your website to read your blog. Instead, all of your new posts and updates will be sent straight to your customers' email. Feed burners are easy to add to your blog. All you need is some simple HTML code. There are many online services that can help you, some of which will do so free of charge.

You could also choose to add a list of blogs that your readers might be interested in on your blog page. Each time you link a different blog to your page, ask that blogger to link back to you as well. This will help you boost traffic since you will be reaching a larger audience. Remember, though, that it only makes sense to link to blogs that your target customer would be interested in.

A fast and simple way to use your blog to get more traffic to your website is by linking back to it from your blog each time you post. You can entice blog readers to check out your website by posting a short excerpt of new articles appearing on your website to your blog along with an invitation to read more and a link to your website and the complete article.

When older articles that have been on your website for a while become especially useful to your customers again, you should place links to them on your blog. An article about entertaining kids during the summer with costumes can be brought to your blog readers' attention again when Halloween is getting close.

You may also want to include links to your opt-in pages or pages.

If you want to drive more traffic to your website (and who doesn't?) you should be using free article submission as one of your promotional strategies. And you should be submitting at Zogol.com, one of the few article directories that lets you put anchor text inks in the body of the article, not just the resource box.
