- NLP and storytelling
- Richard Bandler uses stories to change complicated experiences. He knows that the stories make change more possible than any other way. In the old times, the only way of learning was storytelling. People learnt by hearing stories. The children began to learn from the stories that their parents told them. The kind of stories that the children were told created the kind of life that they led later in life. Storytelling therefore is a proven way of teaching and learning. When it is accompanied by a very strong sense of humour learning becomes more possible and accessible.
- NLP and change
- When I heard for the first time that I could change my attitude, beliefs and behaviours with NLP, I could not believe it. I thought that an outstanding and possibly dangerous event needed to happen to enable people to change. I didn't think thoughts could be changed so easily.
- Acceptable defined goals and unacceptable hidden agendas
- The defined goal of the Kurds was having their own independent state but that was not even conceivable when all countries of the region opposed it vigorously as creation of such a state meant the disintegration of several major regional powers. The Western world led by the US reached this conclusion that the Kurds would continue to fight and be massacred until they build their own state.
- Acceptable defined goals and unacceptable hidden agendas
- The goals that face popular resistance are not usually announced and have never been announced fully publically throughout history. An ambitious person who wants power and privilege cannot gain power unless he uses an ideology or religion. The Islamic Republic of Iran is using religion to retain power and privilege.
- We have to admire our high achievers
- Low achieving societies are societies in which everybody is expected to fail. The members of the society become generally underachievers. And low achievement becomes the general expectation from the members. The actions and reactions that happen in the low achieving society perpetuate this characteristic. When one member of the under-achieving society achieves something exceptionally well, he will be isolated and even blamed for it. His success will be attributed to the help of foreign forces and not because of his own inner abilities and talents.
