        <description>The defined goal of the Kurds was having their own independent state but that was not even conceivable when all countries of the region opposed it vigorously as creation of such a state meant the disintegration of several major regional powers.  The Western world led by the US reached this conclusion that the Kurds would continue to fight and be massacred until they build their own state.</description>
